Refund policy

Despite the best efforts, sometimes a plant does not survive.  At Spilled Dirt Nursery we understand that and offer a full refund or replacement option if in the first 14 days of delivery the plant(s) do not survive.

Please email us at: helpdesk@spilleddirt.com, to notify us as soon as possible, along with relevant photos, and if you would prefer a refund or replacement.  Please return the plants to the PO Box address listed on the contact form and simply forward the delivery confirmation of your return to the same email.

Some leaf drop or minor wilting is highly likely, and should be expected.  SDN will replace any plant clearly damaged due to faulty packing, but we cannot be held liable for in transit handling, temperatures or delays.  Priority shipping automatically includes up to $100 of insurance protection, offered through the US Postal Service.  The recipient would be responsible for filing any damage claim, and we will help in any reasonable manner possible.  If a box appears damaged upon receipt we recommend taking a picture of the box and the contents as they are unpacked.

Plants should fully recover from wilt if immediately placed in moist soil or even temporarily in water while acclimatizing to their new environment. DO NOT plant any new arrivals directly into a full sun location for at least 5-7 days, minimum.  Chances of aspiration beyond their ability for capillary drinking is extremely high and will likely lead to significant damage or death.

Traveling is stressful on people and shipping is stressful on plants.  Jet lag, light deprivation, new temperatures and humidity as well as disrupted feeding schedules impact all living organisms.
